What are the system requirements?
Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
macOS: macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later
RAM: 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended
Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent
Internet: Required for initial activation and occasional updates
How many computers can I install the plugins on?
You can install your Toool plugins on up to 3 computers with a single license. This covers your studio setup, laptop, and backup machine. The plugins require occasional internet connection for license verification.
Installation & Setup
How do I install my plugins after purchase?
- Download the installer from your Payhip purchase email
- Run the installer and follow the setup wizard
- Restart your DAW
- The plugins will appear in your VST/AU/AAX plugin list
- On first use, enter your license key when prompted
My DAW doesn't see the plugins after installation
Windows: Check if your DAW is scanning the correct VST3 folder (usually C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\)
macOS: Plugins install to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ - make sure your DAW is scanning this location
Both platforms: Try rescanning plugins in your DAW preferences, or restart the DAW completely.
How do I activate my license?
When you first load a Toool plugin, it will prompt for activation. Enter the license key from your purchase email. You'll need an internet connection for this initial activation. The plugin will remember your license for future use.
Troubleshooting
The plugin crashes my DAW
- Update your DAW to the latest version
- Make sure you're using the latest plugin version
- Try different buffer sizes (512 or 1024 samples)
- Disable other plugins to isolate the issue
- Contact support with your system specs and crash details
High CPU usage or audio dropouts
Try increasing your DAW's buffer size to 512 or 1024 samples. Toool plugins are optimized for efficiency, but complex processing may require higher buffer settings on older systems. Also ensure no unnecessary background apps are running.
License error or "plugin not authorized"
- Ensure you have an internet connection
- Check if you've reached the 3-computer limit
- Try re-entering your license key
- Contact support to reset your license if needed

Mobile App
Is the mobile app compatible with my device?
iOS: Requires iOS 12.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Android: Requires Android 6.0 (API level 23) or later with at least 2GB RAM for optimal performance.
Can I export my mobile productions?
Yes! The
Toool mobile app supports high-quality audio export in WAV and MP3 formats. You can also share your projects directly to cloud services or import them into your desktop DAW for further production. Check out our
